Seeds Specialist
Frederik van Oudenhoven is Oxfam’s SD=HS seeds specialist, guiding the work on participatory plant breeding in farmer field schools. He has fifteen years of experience working on various aspects of the conservation and use of agricultural biodiversity in many parts of the world, initially with Bioversity International and later by working with several indigenous groups. Frederik wrote a multiple award-winning book about the agricultural and food traditions of the Pamiri people in Central Asia and co-founded a local vegetable co-op in his hometown The Hague.
